Power & Lights

Our cabins run on Generator/Solar. Great for fans and lights, but leave the high-voltage appliances (like hair dryers) at home!  We have cabin lighting, and the high-powered green lights are essential for night fishing and powered by generator.

You need to bring your own gas for generator

Information

Guest Responsibilities

  • Transport: Guests are responsible for their own boat transportation to and from the cabin unless a shuttle service has been pre-arranged.
  • Leave No Trace: We take pride in the beauty of Baffin Bay. All trash must be bagged and hauled back to the mainland. A cleaning fee of $300 will be charged if trash, mess and damaged is left behind. Pics will be provided.
  • Liability: Guests use the cabin and surrounding docks at their own risk. We are not responsible for any injuries, lost equipment, or damage to personal boats moored at the facility.

Cancelation & Refunds

Captains’ Call: The final decision to cancel due to weather rests with the cabin management. If we cancel due to unsafe bay conditions, you will be able to book a future stay based on availability.

We are a small, family-owned operation with limited availability. Because of this, our policy is as follows:

  • Partial Credit: Cancellations made prior to 14 days to arrival will be able to use those funds on a future stay for no additional fees.
  • No-Show/Short Notice: Cancellations made within 7 days of arrival are non-refundable.

Guided Fishing Trips

In addition to staying at our cabin, we also offer a variety of services to help make your fishing experience even better. We can offer guided fishing trips and excursions.  Additional guide fees apply and we would be happy to recommend some of Baffin Bay and Land Cut best guides.

Fishing Gear

  • Medium-Light Tackle: Ideal for Baffin Bay's trophy trout.
  • Wading  Gear: If you plan to jump out, bring your waders (seasonal) and sturdy wading boots to protect against stingrays and shell.
  • Landing  Net: A large rubberized net is best for handling big fish you intend to release.
  • Lures/Bait: Top-waters,  soft plastics, and suspension baits are local favorites.
  • Live Bait is available at local marinas and plan on head on live bait storage

Personal Comfort

  • Sun Protection: High-SPF sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, and      wide-brimmed hats.
  • Bug Spray: The "Baffin breeze" usually keeps them away, but      it's best to have it for calm nights.
  • Toiletries: Biodegradable soap and shampoo are preferred. Don't forget your towels!
  • Electronics: We have USB charging ports, but bringing a portable power bank for your phone      is never a bad idea.
